The Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency (GIEK) reports to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Fisheries. The Investment Guarantee covers foreign political risks for investors and lenders that wish to invest abroad. Covered risks include expropriation, civil unrest and new foreign exchange restrictions.
