Create Vessel from FSO Note

There are two ways in which a vessel is connected to an FSO Note. If the vessel on the FSO Note already exists in WiseFish, the vessel will automatically connect to the FSO Note. If any changes are made to the vessel on the FSO Note, the vessel card updates itself. If the vessel on the note is not registered in WiseFish it is possible to use the action Create Vessels from Notes to manually set up a new Vessel in WiseFish.
The system does notify the user if the vessel is not in the system when creating a Fishing Trip. Click here to see what information needs to be filled out in the Vessel Card for the process to run smoothly.
Create Vessels from Notes
Click on Task > Create Vessels from Notes.
A new window opens, fill out all fields and click OK.
If the Vessel Approval no. is missing in the Note, you need to enter that number for the Vessel:
The system confirms that 1 vessel has been created. Click OK to close the confirmation window.
The system can create the External Producer from a vessel, as well as create vendors from a vessel creation. This can be possible by making sure the checkmarks for Create Vendors from Vessel Creation and Create External Producer from Vessel are in place in the FSO Setup.
If “Create Vendor from Vessel Creation” is checked you enter the Posting details for the Vendor :
Vessel Card
Vessel information is required to create a Fishing Trip from a FSO Notes. To make registering FSO Notes faster it is good to have these default values registered on a vessel card, it can always be changed manually afterward in the FSO notes or Fishing trip. There is a setup for Locations on the vessel card Default Raw Material Location and Default Product Location.
If the Default Location has been marked with the Storage Agent Lot Mandatory, the Storage Agent Lot needs to be set on FSO Note before being able to create the fishing trip
When buying from Vessels Raw Material the system needs to know who is the External Producer of the goods for Item tracking. Each vessel must have a designated Stock Center of type "External Producer" in the system. The system can create the External Producer each time a vessel is created from notes.
