About

The is a step-by-step guide for receiving stock - it applies both for the Wisefish documents called Receipt Agreements and Storage Receipt Agreements.

This feature gives the user the ability to receive stock from Receipt Agreements and place the pallets received into a specific place in the Warehouse.

  • (It determines if the document can be seen in the list in the Stream Application.

Receipt List

To view all the receipts that are to be handled in the warehouse click on “Receipt Agreements” function in the main menu.

A page containing all Receipt Agreements that can be handled in the Stream application. These agreements have…

  • same “Location Code” as the user logged in Stream.

  • Status = “Released” or “Open”, because posted documents are not shown in Stream.

  • Field on General tab of the doucment is BC, called “Active in Stream”, has a checkmark.

For each agreement document, info is shown such as:

  • Agreement No.

  • Vendor / Customer name

  • The number of lines on the agreement

  • The status of the receiving process in the warehouse

  • How many Trade Items (often these stand for “boxes”) have been received

→ Click on the tile for a selected document to go to the details screen, called Scan barcode

Receipt details

Once a specific receipt has been selected, the details screen will be shown, which has 3 tabs:

  • Summary - These are the lines on the doucment in BC, they contain

    • Item description

    • Item No.

    • Lot No.

    • how many trade items received / total

  • To be received - Here is the list of pallets that have been created, but still not been put into a bin in the warehouse

  • Received - This is a list of the received pallets, i.e. the ones that have already been put into a bin

(OLD : Above these tabs you can see the amount of Pallets and Trade Items you have received of this product.)

From this screen there are 4 ways of taking the next step. The operation you are going to use depends on if you need to create the pallet barcodes or use the existing barcodes that were created by the sender of the pallet.

  1. Barcoded pallets already in the system
If pallets have a barcode and they exist in the system, they are visible on the To be Received tab →
Click on the pallet to receive and Stream will open the Put Pallet screen - > see chapter https://wisefish.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WFPE/pages/edit-v2/160628737?draftShareId=b3009fae-1dbd-4578-8f04-72c4a1ff5098#Put-Pallet

  2. Barcoded pallets
Scan in the barcode with the Scan barcode field → see chapter https://wisefish.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WFPE/pages/edit-v2/160628737?draftShareId=b3009fae-1dbd-4578-8f04-72c4a1ff5098#Scan-Barcode Next step will either be:

    1. Create pallet - if the pallet does not exist in the system

    2. Put Pallet - if the pallet exists, and now it can be put into bin

Creating Pallets

Create a Pallet with generated barcode

If you wish to create a new pallet barcode from Business Central, either because the pallet did not have any barcode, or you want to replace the existing barcode on the pallet, this is how you do that:

  1. Press the Create Pallet button that is visible on the summary tab of the receipt details.

  2. Select which line on the agreement this pallet belongs to. This is very important, be cause the line contains information about the product.

  3. Specify the No. of Trade Items (this field is by default set to the amount of boxes it takes to fill one pallet, so you should not need to change this when receiving full pallets).

  4. You also have the option to print or not print a barcode for the pallet, in this case it is by default on, because you are replacing the existing barcode on the pallet with a new one.

  5. Press Confirm

The method works as follows:

  • A new Pallet entry is created in the system with automatically generated barcode.

  • This pallet is now allocated to this particular receipt agreement line.

  • The pallet has the given number of trade items

  • The number of items given, will be posted to stock, after the receipt of the whole document is finished.

  • Then the Put pallet screen will be opened automatically.

Create all Pallets

Same procedure can be used to create all the pallets in one click.

  1. Same procedure as above

  2. ..but also click “Create all pallets”

The method works as follows:

  • As many Pallets will be created to fulfill the whole number of Trade Items in the agreement line.

  • Pallets are allocated to this particular receipt agreement line.

  • As before, the items will be posted to stock, after the receipt of the whole document is finished.

Example when multi-creating pallets:

1000 boxes are to be received. There are 100 boxes on each pallet. The pallets must be barcoded. =>

  1. Use the Create Pallet method.

  2. Select the agreement line

  3. Sett 100 in the number of trade items

  4. Click “Create all pallets”

  5. Confirm

=> The method will create 10 pallets.

Receiving Pallets

This step is a demonstration of the 3 possible ways of receiving by using the external barcode on the pallet.

  1. Normal scan with a barcode scanner
If you have a connected barcode scanner you can simply scan the external barcode and get to the next step.

  2. Manually enter the barcode
Scroll up and you will see an input field where you can manually enter the pallet barcode.

  3. Use the camera
For this to work, there should not be a barcode scanner connected. To use the camera simply scroll up and press the camera icon that is besides the input field, then point the camera towards the barcode.

  4. All the functions above take you to the following pop up screen. Just like the pop up for a new pallet barcode, where you have the option to modify the number of boxes are on the pallet and print the pallet label, but that option is not selected by default because there is already a pallet label on the pallet.
If that pallet label is not damaged, you should not need a new one.
Press confirm to confirm that you are receiving the Pallet.

Scan Barcode

When a specific document is active, there will be a field available to scan a pallet barcode.

picture to show where the scan barcode field is

Put Pallet

Now you have allocated a pallet to the receipt, either with a new barcode or an external one, then it is possible to put the pallet to the desired zone and bin in the warehouse.

The Put Pallet screen is simply going placing the pallet to a selected bin.

  1. To place the pallet you simply select a zone and bin for the pallet and press confirm.
Just like in Move Pallet, barcodes or QR codes can be used to select the bin.

ATH;

  1. If you have read the previous functionalities in this User Manual this screen might seem familiar. That is because it is. It is almost identical to the “Move Pallet” screen when the user is deciding where to put the pallet. The small difference here is that in the top right corner you can see a print button that can be used to print the pallet barcode. (Can be useful if the current barcode is damaged or ruined).

Finish Receipt

  1. When you have received everything you can go back to the screen containing all the RAs active in stream.
From there you can select to close the Agreement. When you do that, the following confirmation pop up screen is displayed where you can confirm the action.

  1. When that has been done the Agreement will no longer be visible in stream because the field “Active in Stream” will be updated.

This is all that had to do with Receipt Agreements within the Stream application. Posting the agreement must be done within Business Central.
