There are several ways to reserve Trade Items for a specific Sales Order/Delivery Agreement. The following chapters illustrate the different ways to reserve Trade Items from available inventory and ready for delivery.

  • Supply-Driven Reservation - The Supply-Driven Reservation offers the user to perform a supply driven selection where the focus is on selling items that are available in inventory.

  • Demand-Driven Reservation - The Demand-Driven Reservation offers the user to perform a demand driven selection where the focus is on fulfilling customer’s requests for items. Items must be available in inventory in order to use this functionality.

  • Register Sale by Reserving Pallets - A supply-driven pallet reservation method allows the user to reserve available pallets without creating any agreement lines beforehand.

  • Reserve Pallets to Registered Sales - Demand driven selection where the focus is on fulfilling customer’s request for items to be delivered when available in inventory.

  • Scan Pallets into Picking for Delivery - This action is often used when the warehouse is not split into organized sections but are picking from a specific lot.

Status of Delivery Agreement Lines

The color of the text in the lines indicated the status of the Trade Items (TIs).

  • Green and bold means that the Trade Items have been reserved (e.g., 10 TIs ordered and 10 TIs reserved).

  • Yellow means that there are not enough Trade Items to reserve the items (e.g., 8 TIs ordered but 10 TIs reserved).

  • Red means that there are not enough Trade Items in the lines to be reserved (e.g., 10 TIs ordered but only 8 TIs reserved).

  • Black is neutral and if the text is black the user still has to reserve Trade Items.

  • Bold and black means that the Trade Items have been loaded.
