Actions on the Home Page
Do not use this function in a live company. This function is only used in test companies. Data will be created and posted in the company.
The page can be roughly divided into four areas depending on the role of the action, see the division of areas, 1 through 4, on the image below.
There are four controls in the area at the top of the page:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Enable Test Run | Allows the user to run the steps in the experience wizard. It is a “safety setting” that prevents the experience wizard from being accidentally or unknowingly run. |
Suppress Messages | A setting that minimizes the necessary user intervention – for example skips asking the user for confirmation on the posting of documents and journal entries. |
Full Automation | If full automation is enabled, the experience wizard automatically runs the entire process in one cycle, without stopping at every step. If this action is disabled, the experience wizard will stop at every step. |
No. of Runs | Defines the number of times the experience wizard runs through the entire process on full automation. Only applies when the “Full Automation” field is enabled |
The following area, marked with the number 2 in the image below, has three actions that set and start the execution of the steps in the process.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Run step(s) | Runs the next single step in the process or starts the Full Automation of the whole process. |
Reset | The action deletes lines at the bottom of the page so that the user has a clear overview. |
Initialize | The action creates all the data that needs to exist for the process to be executed. This action only needs to be run once – in the beginning. |
During the execution of the experience wizard, various posting documents, journal entries, and production lots are created. The actions in the area above the lines allow the user to open and view this information in more detail.
Field | Description |
---|---|
View Document | User selects a line and looks at the document listed in the column “Document No.” |
View Lot | In steps 8-12, production registrations for the production lots are obtained. The action “View Lot” opens the lot listed in the column “Lot Code”. |
At the bottom of the page there are lines that show the outcome of each step in the process:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Round | A running counter that separates the execution of a whole process. |
Step | Number of the step in the process – 1 through 15. |
Document No | Description of the action performed in the respective step. |
Lot Code | Refers to the document created in the step. The document can be opened with the action “View Document”. |
