Move Pallet
User guide to Move Pallet
Using this feature, you can transfer a Pallet to a selected Trade Item Bin.
Prerequisites
To use this feature a pallet must exist within Business Central as well as zones and bins to move the pallet.
Step by step guide
There are two slightly different ways of doing this and it depends on your “WF User Profile” setup which one you will be using.
In your WF User Profile Card there is a section called “Stream Mobile Setup” and in that section there is a toggle called “Use Double Barcode for TI BIN selection”. If this is off you are using single scan to select a bin, if this is on you will be using a double scanning method to place the pallet.
The double scan is useful for warehouses that prefer to scan for example, rack and height separately and have the system combine the scans to find the correct bin.
In this manual I will explain both processes.
Single scan guide (Toggle OFF)
Click on Move Pallet function in the main menu. The Move Pallet page is displayed.
Then you need to scan or enter the barcode. There are 3 ways to do this.
Use a handheld scanner to scan the barcode.
Press the input field and manually type the barcode number.
Press the camera icon and then point the camera towards the barcode. (This is only possible if there is no barcode scanner connected.)
If a valid barcode is used, you will see information about the pallet just like shown below.
Firstly the user should select a Zone (there is functionality so that the zone that was used last time is automatically selected to ease the picking process for the user).
When the correct Zone has been picked the Bins in the selected Zone are displayed, either on screen or if there are to many Bins to display on screen a dropdown list can be used to find the correct Bin.
Another way to select a Bin is to scan the corresponding TI Bin QR code or TI Bin Barcode.Once you press “Confirm”, you have successfully moved the pallet to the specified Bin.
Double scan guide (Toggle ON)
Click on Move Pallet function in the main menu.
Once the a Zone has been selected you can see the Assembled Bin Code update.
The values in the following steps can differ between Warehouses depending on how they are set up.
But in this example the values I will be using are a 4 digit code indicating aisle and rack and then a 2 digit code indicating the height.
So the next info I need to provide is the 4 digit code indicating the aisle and rack, I want to place the pallet in aisle 1 and rack 13.
That means the 4 digit code is 0113 and I can input that manually or use the scanner or camera to scan a barcode containing that value.Once again we see the Assembled Bin Code update, it now contains info about the Zone, aisle and rack.
The last thing we have to do is provide info about the height, the height in my example is 3 so the code is simply 03.
Again we can manually input the code or scan it, additionally for the height, if there are no more than 8 height options you will be able to see the options for height on screen and you have the option to select from there if you please.Once the height has been provided you can see the the complete Assembled Bin Code which in my case is “ZA-0113-03”.
Then the only thing left is to press “Confirm” and now you have successfully moved the pallet to the specified Bin.
