Hold Status Production/Processing

Users must make sure that the Production Lot is correctly set up before posting consumption of raw materials and output of finished goods.

Production Output

Set the 'Default Hold Status' for production on the production lot card. The default hold status will be applied to the produced trade items from this production lot. This field can be auto-populated according to the WF User Profile assigned to users, see more information here.

Production lots with a hold status appear in red italic font in the lot list.

When the production recording starts, then the 'Default Hold Status' from the lot card is automatically copied from the lot card to the 'Trade Item Output Journal Line'.

And subsequently posted to the produced trade items.

Consumption Input

On the production lot card, also note that the 'Allow Hold Status Postings' field controls whether trade items with active hold statuses are allowed to be consumed into the production lot.

If the trade items that are to be consumed have a blocking hold status, and the production lot instructs that it is not allowed to post such trade items, then the system gives an error:

If the hold status is allowed to be posted according to the Production lot, then no error message appears and the consumption is posted.
